Here are some images from Field Guide, a ten-year exploration of the vernacular landscape. A kind of above-ground archaeology, the project is a record of abandoned television antennas, the lost passports into the shared electronic space of post-war America. There are about 160 images in the project, compiled into the book of the same name released in 2002.
